"Boxing at the Summer Olympics"
Boxing has been challenged at each Late spring Olympic Games since first experience with the program at the 1904 Summer Olympics, aside from the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, since Swedish regulation prohibited the game at that point. The 2008 Summer Olympics were the last games with boxing as a male just occasion. Since the 2012 Summer Olympics, ladies' boxing is important for the program.
Occasions
The boxing rivalry is coordinated as a bunch of competitions, one for each weight class. The quantity of weight classes has changed throughout the long term (at present 8 for men and 5 for ladies), and the meaning of each class has changed a few times, as displayed in the accompanying table. Until 1936, loads were estimated in pounds, and from 1948 onwards, loads were estimated in kilograms.
From the 2016 Summer Olympics, male competitors never again need to wear defensive headgear in rivalry, because of a decision by the AIBA and the IOC that it adds to more prominent blackout risk. Female competitors will keep on wearing the headgear, because of "absence of information" on the viability of it on women.[1]
Award table
