Police in Pakistan's Punjab region have captured two additional suspects, who they accept had sold the gun and projectiles for PKR 20,000 to Naveed Mohammad Basheer, the attacker who attempted to kill previous chief Imran Khan during a political convention, as per a media report on Friday.

Mr. Khan, 70, experienced a shot injury in the right leg on Thursday, when Basheer discharged a volley of projectiles at him in the Punjab region, where he was driving a dissent walk against the public authority.

Basheer later admitted that he went after Mr. Khan since "he was attempting to delude general society."

Police sources said that two different suspects — Waqas and Sajid Handle — sold Basheer a gun and projectiles for PKR 20,000, adding that the gun didn't have a number or permit, Geo television detailed.

They were captured from Wazirabad in Punjab territory, the report said, citing police sources.

As indicated by observers, Basheer terminated on the holder mounted truck conveying Mr. Khan from a short proximity.

Mr. Khan was moved by street to his own-assembled Shaukat Khanum clinical office in Lahore where an activity was performed and was steady after it, as per his party.

His party said he is steady currently, adding that still up in the air to proceed with his dissent walk.
